현대인의 익명성을 상징하는 흰슈트를 입은 군중의 퍼포먼스를 SNS커뮤니티와 오프라인을 통해 다수 기획했던 UG 작가의 라이브 무빙 퍼포먼스.

2024버젼 ‘White Mop_퀘렌시아’는 치열한 현대사회의 챗바퀴 속에서 소외되거나 지쳐버린 현대인들이 삭막한 대도시를 탈출해 천혜의 자연환경을 갖춘 마음의 안식처 곡성으로 떠나는 여정 자체가 퍼포먼스인 라이브 무빙 퍼포먼스 프로젝트이다. 
외롭고 지친 ‘나’와 또 다른 이들과의 안식처를 찾아가는 과정은 잃어버린 자아를 찾아가는 과정이며, 이를 통해 자신의 본질적 모습을 발견하게 될 것이다. 

*‘퀘렌시아(Querencia)’는 스페인에서 유래된 단어로 투우경기 중 지친 소들이 잠시 휴식을 취하는 ‘피난처’ 또는 ‘안식처’를 의미

UG, an artist known for his live moving performances involving crowds in white suits symbolizing the anonymity of modern individuals, has extensively planned similar events through both online communities and offline settings.

The 2024 version, titled “White Mop_Querencia,” is a live moving performance project. It represents the journey of modern individuals, who feel alienated and exhausted by the relentless grind of contemporary society, escaping the desolate urban environment to find solace in the natural beauty of Gokseong. This journey itself becomes the performance.

As participants, symbolizing the lonely and weary ‘self,’ travel to a sanctuary together, they embark on a process of self-discovery. This quest leads them to uncover their true, essential nature.

“Querencia” is a Spanish term derived from bullfighting, meaning a ‘refuge’ or ‘place of rest’ where tired bulls retreat for a moment of respite.
